How do I book a wedding car?

You can check availability online, but if you prefer the warm and fuzzy human touch then call us on 01274 792592 and we can take your booking over the phone. We ask for payment in full at the time of booking. Once payment is made we confirm all the exciting details with you by e-mail or post, whichever suits you best, then we create the transport plan.

What about payment?

We are happy to take cash, cheques or credit/debit cards via paypal. Payment is required at the time the booking is made unless you choose our instalment plan. We can also invoice you by post. A booking is unconfirmed until payment has been made. We work on the basis ‘first to pay books the day!’

What’s included in the price?

The Perfect Package £349 – The price includes as many repeat trips as you need to the venue and to the reception for you and your guests. It also includes your choice of ribbons, sashes and hand tied organza rosettes or bows to complement your colour theme and complimentary chocolates on board and a champagne toast photo opportunity at the end of the ceremony. Chauffeur and car are yours for up to 3 hours.

The Exclusive Package £499 -Guaranteed to be the only booking of the day. The bride gets a red carpet as she leaves the car, filmstar style! The price includes as many repeat trips as you need to the venue and to the reception. Perhaps you want to be taken to the hairdressers in style, maybe you’d like your bridesmaids taking up to the Church first, so they’re ready to greet you.  It also includes your choice of ribbons, sashes and hand tied organza rosettes or bows to complement your colour theme and complimentary chocolates and champagne on board or your choice of treats. There will also be a champagne toast after the ceremony. Chauffeur and car are yours for up to 6 hours. Your guests in the car will also receive complimentary bubbly and you’ll also receive a handmade personalised ‘Just Married’ sign, yours to keep.

Which areas do you cover?

We are perfectly happy to travel, we cover weddings in Bradford, Leeds, Halifax, Huddersfield and anywhere else that you fancy tying the knot.

How much does it cost to hire a wedding car and chauffeur?

We have a selection of packages from £99 upwards.

Can we just book for an hour?

The minimum hire charge is £349, we no longer offer an hourly rate.

How many seats do the cars have?

Penelope has the capacity to carry 4 passengers (plus driver) but for optimum comfort 3 is much better.

Will I have time for photographs?

Of course. Photos are a crucial part of your big day and we understand that you want to look fabulous – we’ll give you plenty of time and work with your photographer to provide the best angles and shots. If you haven’t chosen a photographer yet we can recommend the amazing Toast of Leeds – they did many of the fantastic shots you see on this website!

Can I play my own music in the car?

The car is fitted with a CD/MP3 Player with high quality speakers, located at front and rear. You can listen to whatever you want for as long as you like – If you bring your MP3 player with your music on it we can plug it in.

Does the chauffeur wear a uniform?

Oh yes, a dark grey suit, shirt and tie, chauffeurs hat, and gloves. Smart but understated… you don’t want the hired hand taking the limelight on your big day!

Are the cars in good condition?

All of our cars are in excellent mechanical order. They are well maintained and probably a bit spoilt! As with every classic, it’s worth remembering that they are not brand new cars so there are minor imperfections and the patina of age, the equivalent of ‘laughter lines’. The experience of travelling in a classic wedding car is quite unlike a journey in an average saloon. It’s far more comfortable, truly luxurious and a lot of fun.

Isn’t Penelope bad for the environment?

Not at all, you can have an environmentally friendly wedding and still turn up in style! Despite her 4.2 litre engine, Penelope is the greenest girl on the block. She’s been professionally converted to run on clean burning LPG, an ultra low carbon fuel which is a mixture of propane and butane gases. Do you only do weddings?

That’s right, we’re Wedding specialists. No proms, hen dos or anything else. We are happy to attend any special events however- our cars are available for television, film, advertising, promotional work and music videos – contact us for more info.

Can children/babies travel in the car?

Absolutely, from the tiniest little bambinos upwards. Penelope is fitted with rear seatbelts, lap restraints and a very child friendly chauffeur! We ask you to provide your own babyseat for tiny tots so they feel comfortable in their familiar seat.

What if it rains?

We store a large white parasol in the boot of the car and if the heavens open then it is the chauffeurs duty to ensure that your hairdo is makes it through and you and your attendants are protected from the elements whilst stepping from the car. We also carry a faux fur stole to put around your shoulders if you get a bit chilly while you’re out of the car.

What if the car breaks down?

Our wedding fleet is maintained to a very high standard with regular servicing and specialist care. If a back up car is not available at the time we are also members of a national auto breakdown service and we will attempt to get the car running as soon as possible. If a roadside repair is not possible we will offer a full refund. If something unforeseeable happens in the days prior to the event then we will endeavour to find a suitable replacement vehicle for you, failing this a full refund will be offered.

How do I cancel a booking?

Of course, we understand that some weddings don’t happen – due to unforeseen circumstances or events. 20% is non-refundable but if you have paid the balance for the booking and cancel up to fourteen days prior to the event then we will refund this amount to you – cancellations must be carried out in writing – not by e-mail – and confirmed by us or you will be liable for the full amount payable. Cancellations less than 14 days prior to the date will not be refunded.
